What would you consider "Montage Worthy"

Hey people, after a few months of halo 3, Ive began to collect a fair number of quality clips. My question is what do you think seperates a killer montage from a lame, random montage. Clipwise/Editing wise. Just want to see what you guys think.

I enjoy montages that focus more on the gameplay and is not cut up by overediting clips that aren't up to par. In the end it's what you want that should matter. Try to have something original and it'll make it more memorable. Bloopers at the end are always good.

Agreed over editing = bunk. However what I enjoy in a montage is not constant no scopes or constant overkills it is when you are watching and something catches your eye that makes you say "woah that was different" and that is what you will tell people about. But to be honest as long as you are happy with your montage who cares, people will always flame, and say they could do better (having never made one themselves). Me, Genius and Muffin Top made an old halo 2 montage on a shitty capture card that was not edited at all really and as much as I like watching montages I will go right after and watch that peice a shite with a huge smile on my face. I think I will go look if it is still on youtube right now :).

Thanks for the input. I know what you guys mean when your sayin how a montage can get boring, im going to try to avoid that. Most halo 3 montages on youtube right now consist of 30 no scopes and a few lucky sticks set to funky rock music lol.

Wow haven't seen Dave's old h2 montage in a while brings back memories. and what makes a good montage?? well u need killer clips not just weak no scopes people pull every game if its a no scope better be good and or in a multi kill, dirty out br's are nice same with sticks and the common clips of montages. But what really makes it is the editing. i use Sony Vegas and after effects its a great combo kinda confusing at first but u get used to it. heres an amazing halo 2 montage from a not so known h2 pro brad

I think lots of multys, sticks and no scopes makes a great tage, you need to use sony vegas for edititng it is one of the best things out there. and you will need a good quality capturea card. not to much editing but you have to make it sweet to watch, and make sure there is transitions after every clip, if it just stops from clip to clip it will look gay,
