Nah honestly I love watching TV/Sports on the larger TV's but playing video games...not so much. My neighbor has a 61" TV that is great but when we play Xbox on it it's not as fun I can't really explain it haha. I know you can have like 4 30" screen's if your playing splitscreen and what not but I don't know... I'd rather play on a 27".

You don't need to use it. It's only if you want to run the sound to something other than the TV. The HDMI cord transfers picture and sound.
