Uh no it was probably a very smart idea. MLG isn't dumb and they wouldn't add a game unless they knew forsure it would get a good turnout. I could be wrong but PC gaming has always held better tourney's than console gaming before MLG came it just overshadowed everything.
I don't know how WoW will work but it's got a huge fanbase and I can see them beign able to fill 32 spots in a few seconds...Just watch, I can see this working out really well for MLG.
Also WoW was probably the best choice for the first PC game because of its high popularity. Of couse it will be boring to you if you know nothing about it or don't like it like me. But there are many that will watch.

Yeah its gonna have a good turnout and all that but i was just saying every other pc gaming league failed in the past so i dont see mlg sticking with wow for to long

these statements are true, WoW is extremely popular in the PC world of gaming except........ by doing this MLG ruined their persona..... its about looking good as well as keeping the league running with what people want....... definitely made MLG seem really geeky and a more nerdy league now though.....
They built up such great credibility by putting popular games, but you have to look at the market you are trying to bring out to events and that will watch the events..... no one is gonna watch WoW as spectators..... your bringing the truly elite hardcores out of their parents basement for the WoW and in doing so are giving your league a new attitude.......
Now mind you I do not knock WoW players because I know a few that are really good guys (Tked) but when people think WoW they think extreme nerds and that will reflect on MLG........ not like the beautys that PGL brings out the the events;)
Watch as everyone with an MLG logo or MLG in their gamertag gets beaked for this...... how many people online in halo are gonna say "Why dont you go play WoW or something and start practicing up, because you suck at Halo" feel free to use this people lol

im gonna have to say putting WoW on the circuit was a very good idea by MLG. If you know whats going on and how WoW works watching it is very interesting. It can be very intense and it has WAY more people than most console games will ever have so it should bring in much more money as well also if you can just look past the gamers and look at the game itself you might be able to see something worth while BUT most console gamers all see WoW in the same way so its very unlikely that many people will share my view.
p.s the PCs there running at the event are fecking amazing i might just have to buy one of em beasts (voodoo gaming FTW)
