Lan Party

ok i need some help in setting up LANage.

1. Four Xbox 360s
2. Four Halo 3s with Internet cables
3. Four Internet
4. Lynsky Router with 4 port (No Internet)
5. Four LCD TVs

I tryed hooking up these bad boys once and couldn't find a game, is it becuz the router wasn't hooked with Internet

when u say Lan party do u mean system link or all u guys going on to xbl and playing together?

you are all linked together, just have someone host the game in your system link option and everyone join that game........ if your gonna go live though just invite everyone into the party..... better have a really fast connection though at least 10mb/s i would say

Yeah not having Internet would make it hard to find a game lol.

I tryed hosting a game but they couldn't find me and i ask them to host one and i couldn't find'em, you know wat i mean? oh yea i only hooked up two consoles to try it out. do i need to hook up all the consoles for it to work?

Are you hosting with custom game or are you trying to do it in matchmaking?

Are you just trying to all play on live or are you just trying to system link?

I'm trying to play sum PLG game types on LAN and was going for PGL event set up. I don't want to go online with it, becuz our internet is always red barring

Then there should be no issue with your router not being connected to the net.
You should have each xbox plugged into the router with the ethernet cables and then it should be okay.

Yeah i though you were trying to go online i was like well no internet so have fun with that lol. You will need you router Powered, Some routers just take in one line a split it with 3 or 4 others make sure it does not do that but that would only be on a really cheep router. Just to test it to make sure you have it right and it's not your router just connect an ethernet cable form one 360 to another 360 and then see if you can join there party if they create one. Should be a matter of going to system link then to Host party on one Box and then the next go System link Join party and it will give you a list of all the parties you can join. Hope you get it working
