Yeah man...in order to get it you'd have to save it on each xbox from live prior to the tournament... i'm sure you could do it using one hard drive, but yeah...you'd have to save it one by one since i'm like 99% sure it aves on the box not just the hard drive

It's the hard Drive... there is no memory on the 360. Think about it or only like 2 games could update because there would be no more room.

When you download the mappack it puts an impression on your console. When not connected to Live, the game searches for that impression (kind of like a "go ahead") to load the map pack. That's the watered down version of how it works, of course. I couldn't explain it beyond that...

Basically, you have to download the Map Pack on to each HDD and Console, not just each HDD.

I ran into this problem with a local tournament I ran in the beginning of March. Hopefully, since the maps are free now, Bungie/Mircosoft will change this. Otherwise, you might have to wait until a "Map Pack Disc" is released before putting extra maps into LAN tourneys.

It's the hard Drive... there is no memory on the 360.yes and no. It has some memory but only for updates like the beat down and stuff not for maps and such. I don't know how much memory there is but there is some. For ex. my friend got a new hard drive becuase he needed more room on his for arcade games and such. when he got his new HDD he wanted to play some halo2 and do some of the old fun glitches like rocket lunging and stuff. but he couldn't becuase it was already updated on the box.
