Just a thought - if you're going to change the prize money at each event on the fly you should consider taking the prize money quotes off of the tournaments page. I was led to believe that 2nd place in the 2v2 scored a team $400, not $300, and a disclaimer on the site saying these values aren't the official amounts would have been nice.

Not that it matter a whole lot to me but it would be good to change it or stick to what it says only because some people plan their trip and money spent around the winnings. : ). i <3 PGL

Don't forget the fact people stole from PGL also, doesn't help the cash giveaway when you have to re-buy games and HDD's

this is very true as well...... so far i have had 4 halo games, 2 hard drives, and a memory stick all stolen...... this all has to come out of my own pocket to replace them..... I personally incur all of these expenses...... when a bunch of people register on the website I can kinda predict how much i give away..... but like the last 2 tournaments we have had about 5-6 teams register and nto show up.......

Maybe a estimate for each event like 1st place 300-200 then people can see what to expect and can't be like WTF i thought this when it is shown and then people wont feel like they are getting ripped off in someway. From the total income you receive you could just make it out to be a % at first saying 15% is for double team and FFA is 10% and then 4v4 25% I know that is way off on the numbers but you can see were i am coming from i hope.

.. Your know what i mean i guess you want people to know your not making profit and its hard for you to put these things on without much support. What were the Numbers for entries into the events for Calgary to give an idea for the size for the FFA, 2v2 and 4v4. With the % thing is was just trying to help you show people were the money is going and they should not feel ripped off in anyway.

I'm not saying I have an issue with the money I recieved, I attended for the experience. I'm just saying that the tournaments page of the website really should include a disclaimer or something if you're going to quote prize amounts.

Yea and it turns out the amounts posted were for the last event not this 1 i think PGL stated that the amount would be just BIG GIVE AWAY not values for the Calgary event.
