View Full Version : 2v2 upto 50 kills instead?

Just curious if theres anyway we could get the 2v2 games up to 50 rather than 25. The simple reason for that is this....
whichever team gets the powerweapons off of the start generally takes a several kill lead. Several kills in a game up to 25 is hard to come back from.
Last tourny it really seemed like whoever got the powerweapons first won the game.

if the games were up to 50 it gives the teams an opportunity to make a comeback.

is there anyway we could get that changed?
What are your guys' opinions?

Well that would be ideal definitely, but i'm pretty sure it's just because of time constraints :(

I think 50 would be better, but, as Doublekill said, it might occupy too much time.

25 because if its 50 then the same team can just time the weapons and still win because of power weapons but waste more time

as my 2v2 homie toxic euphoria always says it gives the okay team a better chance to fluke and the better team wins to 50 everytime but its all about time we almost always got the 12 minutes already up to 25 if anymore time or kills were added we would need another day or take away 2v2

if the staffers were more organized, it would really ease up the time constraints. maybe set up the brackets before the tourny starts and just throw the names up once the ffa is done. after that, number the games so the players know exactly when theyre gonna be gaming it...roughly.

the way it works now is that games are played, we go talk to the staff, they pow wow, decide who plays next, tell us, then we organize, then we warm up, then we game.

if they just had all the games up on a board, we would know if we were playing next and could be "setting up"...as in not jerkin it in the bathroom.

basically...time shouldn't be as much of an issue as it is. dooooooont chuuuuuu thaaaank?

yes this is changed for next time...... we will have matches posted up....... but keep in mind that some teams are gone eating or gone so we fall behind, also sometimes the games are really long or really short so therefore have to wait for the bracket ot catch up or for an open station

are you going to continue with the round robin followed by the single elim? or are u just playing it by ear? im sure if someone looked you could find some sort of formula to follow from some sport tournament. hell im sure curling even has something you could look at.
