Okay so this was my first time at a halo tournament, and first off i'd just like to say i thought it was awesome, you guys did a great job with it! Just a couple of things i was thinking about that (in my opinion) could help improve on a couple of things.
1. If someone needs to borrow one of your HDD's, controllers, memory cards, etc. make them give you a drivers license/ another piece of i.d. so you can hold them liable for it.
2. Keep the 2v2! 2v2v2 would just be too much chaos, and wouldn't account for as much skill/strategy involved in the gameplay.
3. Put some radar in the FFA... there is so much randomness involved in FFAs without radar just because by having nothing to help give you a picture of enemies on map (other than when you die) you always end up being down to no shield and running into an enemy before it comes back. I found myself whipping nades around random corners so often just because there *might* be someone there, only to find that 5 seconds later i'd have no nades left and was down 2 shots because someone was running up behind me without me knowing it.
4. While at the time it was happening i thought this was horrible, thinking back on it i actually like the fact that weapons don't continue to spawn after being picked up (multiple times?) In our match for 3rd we had a complete camp out on gaurdian, we were down 6 and were stuck in gold/blue with a sniper looking at us constantly... after a while we had depleted all our battle rifles, and the carbines nearby stopped spawning, therefore we were eventually forced to either give up a kill (to spawn with more ammo) or rush, we chose to rush and it paid off... but anyways, what i'm trying to say is that i like how you've taken away the incentive for a team to camp out on one side of the map, it worked well.
Sorry about the long read lol, anyways... that's my 2 cents!
See you in Edmonton! :D
