Im new to PGL and im just wondering the caliber of players that actually compete and find themselves winning money. I dont doubt that they have a good shot, but what kind of ratio and xp/lvl do you need to be a top contender? there will be variables ie. lan style, teamates, teamwork luck. Regardless its not about that, its about the fun and enjoyment from the event. Although im still asking the same question is it worth it to dump my whole schedule to attend this event? (i am a local so no need to travel anything)Belive me some people's stats here look good.

Hey Urban. What game did u play on i played on 8DV for GRAW was pretty good imo (Not to brag) hes the rainbow and old ghost recon player. I was the better halo 2 / 3 player it might be even now, im just asking this cause ive won 2 calgary tourneys so far but this seams alot bigger. even if you dont win its fun as heck to play lan against others. thats why people go to MLG. if people didnt go becuase they didnt think that they would win then no one would go.

Most of the "better" players are lvl 45+
But LAN is way different than XBL lots of guys who rock on live can't hold their own in the tourny.
For the teams the team that wins normally has the best team work and not always the best FFA guy.

Since your local i would say come out test your skills. Who knows maybe you will win some $$ and make a trip to another tourny where you have to pay for room and travel.
