I've had 3 break since launch
I got fed up sold one after it got fixed and bought an elite. No issues with the elite but i do have another brand new one sitting beside it just in case haha.

They have special stickers on them so when you open it they can tell and you're warranty is void.
I'v had 2 break and still never had to pay for a new one :D thanx Microsoft.

Mine just came back the other day, however the day after mine broke my friend bought an elite and held off selling his original so I had one the entire time until mine came back. From the day I called Microsoft it was exactally three weeks until I got it back. Not too bad.

because you are paying for a new warranty not a new 360... so you need to follow all the rules still.
been through 2..... good thing i have an extra 20 some kicking around..... lets hope that nothing breaks at a tourney though..... apparently they brought the defective xboxs down from 30% to 10%......

The new ones are not breaking at all really unless you nock them over wile a disc is playing and i know for a fact doing this to and Elite just makes the disc scratched and the CD drive is good. But the thing is when you send in you're screwed up xbox to be fixed you don't get a new one back off the shelf they have kind of a large stock of old xbox 360 that break more commonly(I don't mean old like people have played with them just that they are not the commercially available model from a store those have had updates since the first batch of 360). The new 360 you buy in a store have the same stuff as an elite to stop them from breaking so once Microsoft gives these to people when they run out of old xbox 360 everything should workout, but everything just depends on how many they have on the shelfs of that old type. Everyone knows Microsoft is making money on these warranties and i just hope they are trying to screw people over for money to make money and that they let the problem fix it's self... but if they are making the shitty xbox 360 just for people who get one fixed guessing it will break again in 6-12 months they might just keep breaking for the people who bough the earlier editions.
So if you have a broken 360 and it keeps screwing up, just get a new one and it wont break ever unless you don't take care of it.
These new xbox 360 that break less came out a few months ago, and i was told all this by one of the people on the phone for support when i asked about were all these xboxs come from, I added the part about Microsoft might be trying to make money from deliberately giving out 360 they know will break in a few months thats just a thought i had.

I bought my first xbox 360 about a month before Gears of War came out..the xbox lasted until this past December, then red ringed on me. I ended up buying a second xbox while i waited for my new one to get repaired, took about 3 weeks for msoft to send me a "Certified Microsoft Replacement Xbox360 Console" as they call it, lol.
