Just thought I'd share this video (though I'm sure many of you have seen it already). Close game between FB and Str8 but poor display from Ogre 1.

Looks like Halo 3 was Str8's calling. You could tell that they had skill back in the Halo 2 days, but I think their gameplay and teamwork is starting to mature.

1. Str8 Rippin have had more practice
2. Ogre 1 had 23 assists.
3. FB beet Str8 Rippin when i came down to it over all so once FB is more consistent with there skill and winning they will remain a Top Halo 3 Team.
4. The real pros are on LAN + there communication is great when they are next to each other so i think you should look for them in top 3 at the first event.

True, true. I guess FB just needs to get in the groove and they will be sailing through the ladder.

I don't really care since I am not at their skill level. Yet.

I watch there games closely and they rocked a team yesterday in the playoffs in slayer and when it came to an objective game type King Pit they lost to a really bad team they won the set 3-1 but i was shamed. I think a main reason to them loosing games is lack of practice and not having much time to run strategies when they can excel in slayer and that is all on the go communication, and maybe they are worse at some game types or maps seeing as the beet Str8 Rippin and maybe that was just luck of the draw on them getting maps that they had experience with and they could dominate in it even though it was close.

Maybe it's because BXR/BXB/RRX do no longer exist, meaning they can no longer have significant advantages against other players within game play. In addition to that, it's an LIVE tournament, not LAN, which in my opinion makes all the difference, especially with who gets hosting rights.

I really don't have much interest in the top teams, I just thought I would post to make you aware of variables constituting their losses. I watch them in the official MLG tournaments they host throughout a gaming season. That is when I decide to keep in touch with the best of the MLG Community. I am more focused on teams such as Team Classic, DGK, Triggers Down, and Bad Co. Since these are teams that are marking their territory within the MLG Community.

Gamebattles is merely a launch pad for teams to make themselves known since leader boards are no longer are available to represent top players in halo 3. Once the official MLG LAN Tournaments have begun my interest will peak towards teams that have not sat on top in the MLG Community in the past.

I apologize if my previous post sounded negative, but I am glad you started this thread. I hope that people keep an eye on the NEW Teams that are establishing their own territory in MLG. I hope to one day be involved in a top team, but it requires excessive practice and innovation.

I was not replying to what you said it was more of something i was thinking and decided to post :D. But the canadian team End Result beat Team Classic, UTI, Fatal Images, Believe the Hype so i'd say it's nice to so some canadians going well. But like you were saying i think FB lost some of there game because of bad host a few times it looked like that in games i saw.

i thought it was funny how if not for ogre 2 nading walshy when he was no shields it could've been a different game (since they lost by 1...)

Im sure FB will pull through on the end.

They've always been a strong team, and they got even better when they traded off Saiyan for StrongSide.

I don't know why everyone is saying that it was Ogre 2's fault.

First of all, everyone makes the odd mistake in Halo. Whether it is a random grenade or a stray bullet. When Walshy was hit by the nade, he wasnt brought down to ~0~ shield. He was at about 1 quarter shield. But, for the time that it would have taken him to maneuver himself and get to safety, too much damage would have of been done. Walshy ended up as one of the best slayers that round and so did Ogre 2. It was a very close round and was nobody's fault. And even if Ogre 2 didnt hit walshy, who's to say that Str8 wouldn't have been able to pull off two kills in a row? It was a close game, and in the end, anyone could have won.

I think most people think it Ogre 1 because he got 4 kills in the whole game and Ogre 2 got 17.

When you're on a team, it is never anyone's fault. You win as a team and you lose as a team.

First of all, get of FB's nuts, second of all never did i say "omg totly ogre 2's fault wut a nubcakezorz!!!1!1" I simply stated that it was funny, thanks for your dissectin of my post though, much appreciated.

edit: btw, not that it matters really but you're thinking of the wrong nade, he threw one into closed lift where walshy was jumping around while 1-shot and walshy died.
