So whoever watched this fight, how did you like it?
GSP, good job, he could of broke Hardy's arm twice, but decided not to.
Carwin had an AWESOME knockout over Mir, find it and watch it.

What lies next for GSP? How do you think Carwin will match up against Lesnar?

GSP to keep his belt for another year. Lesnar is a monster compared to Carwin but their fight will be solid.

We had a team party and watched the event then played some beer pong after.

I can't decide if GSP was too soft and didn't break Hardy's arm or Hardy just kept breaking out of it.

Carwin shit pumped Mirr, but he'll get absolutely dummied by Lesnar.

Great thread though.

I agree with GSP keeping his belt, what's next for him? Is Dana going to find another guy from another continent again, or is GSP going to 185 now? I think it's a matter of time before fighters start to focus the majority of their training preparing for GSP's takedowns and ground game. I'm a fan of him, but it seems like he relies too much on wrestling, and I think if Dan Hardy comes back he can beat him with the right training.

Carwin is awesome, he needs to bring the fight to Lesnar. I can see the fight going two ways, one being that Carwin knock Lesnar out standing, or two Lesnar sitting on him.

Its not that GSP wasnt pulling hard enough on Hardy during the armbar and kimura, its that
a) he wasnt positioned good enough to get the pull to break his arm
b) dan hardy does shaolin training with monks, they meditate and do pain resistance training <-- crazy shit bro.

Shane Carwin also has very good wrestling, not as good as brocks of course, but still good enough to hold his own on the ground. Brock isnt bigger then Shane Carwin either. Shane usually weighs 290 pounds, he just cut weight for that fight. I assume he'll maintain that weight for the Lesnar fight. I was kinda sad that Mir lost.. i wanted to see the 3rd rematch between lesnar and him. People have to remember the size difference between mir and lesnar then compared to now. And brock was under surgery and whatnot for a long time... not training for that long can hurt your chances. Shane Carwin is gonna beat Lesnar pretty bad. And imo, Lesnar is like the 3rd-4th best heavyweight in UFC.

1) Shane Carwin
2) Frank Mir
3) Cain Velasquez/Lesnar

my 2 cents.

They have to put Cain Velasquez against better fighters to show his true potential. I can see this guy being the future of the Heavyweight class.

Yea I just found a video of George asking his coach in the back what he did wrong, and then he showed him, etc. Yea I think I seen the Shaolin monk thing on the prime time, and wow man lol, I'm not surprised. As for Carwin, I see him beating Lesnar, then after that Lesnar and Mir will have a rematch. I was happy Mir lost, I just don't like him, he has such an ego and acts like him and Lesnar have such a huge drama going on. To me, Lesnar disrespected him, destroyed him, and rubbed it in after the fight, which pissed the living shit out of Mir.

If Shane Carwin works on takedown defense, and ground defense, he WILL win, if that's his main focus in area of improvement.
