Is there any updates to this? Could we actually get this community montage rolling? I also have some ideas of what could be done:
Because this is a "community" montage, I think we should have a clip (or two, three or whatever seems fit) of everyone that is an active PGL member. Also, why not have a number of montages? There is no point in just making one, this way the community can be involved all the time. Thus having the site and possibly the league BLOOM! For example:
Montage 1: PGL Legends
Montage 2: PGL Elite
Montage 3: PGL Gods
Montage _: PGL _____
This could go on for as long as PGL stays afloat.
With this said, for each montage feature about 10 players and coaches from the community. The players will be drawn for each montage making it fair for everyone to have a chance in the spot light (possibly after 5 montages they get recycled in). Now The numbers of people in each montage will vary. Example: Royal 2 may have 6 clips while CHELACK may only have 3 so another player with a few clips will fill in. With each player being featured on the montage have a small intro in text saying:
Name or Gamertag which they liked to be called: CHELACK
Role: Coach
Events: Saskatoon 5th + Regina 1st
Current Team: Rise Above (I still don't know if I'll have time to coach yet...).
During the making of the montage, the featured players can help select songs even style of montage (I have always wanted crazy stoner effects (like in the visualizer on itunes) and playing Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child all the while destroying people with a snipe). But thats just my ten cents, take it as you will. Happy Fraggin, CHELACK.

I like the ideas, I especially like the personal song idea, but it might not mesh/work well, and this is why. If you do end up say, having about 3 clips approximately, your song would only last about 25 seconds if that, and constant changing songs might annoy some people, but if we could find a way to make it work, I say we should definetaly do it. Another thing that might annoy or get on some peoples nerves would be the whole PGL Gods/Legends/Elite titles. I think it would get to some people because if it is randomly chosen who will get put in these, someone like me might get put in PGL Gods when im no God at this game :p Im just a forum guy who helps out sometimes :rolleyes: And I know theres so many kids out there that have huge E-peeners that will definetaly troll on us and be like " LOLOLOL PGL GODS??!?!?! YOU GUYS ARE ALL TRASH LOL NOOBS, MLGMLGMLGMLGBONER" and I personally think that it wouldnt end well for anyone. It would ruin the tage and the whole idea. IMO I say they should just be titled PGL Grouptage.

All we need is an editor, then as a community we can discuss how we want to proceed. I'm a manager so I'm going to be very meticulous about the situation (If I were to overlook this venture). Also I would also like to talk to the editor personally so I know who and what we are dealing with (kind of like an interview) because the last guy didn't work out in the end.
Oh and about the previous post:
- Thanks puppy, the names are shit. I was just thinking of ways to make each montage fresh, instead of PGL Community Montage 1,2,3, etc.
- The music is easy: Each player chosen for the montage chooses an artist and song along with video style they would like to see. At this point approximately 10 songs/ artists will be submitted. The editor will select the video style and out of the songs submitted, he will pick approx. 3 songs featured in the montage; or as many songs as he/ she seems would fit in the montage. This will then be submitted to the one managing the whole PGL Community Montage, approved then the editor can begin creating the montage. Before release the montage will be submitted to the manager, approved then released. A month later another draw will determine the next members to be featured in the new PGL Community Montage.

IMO it would be cool if we used like a Canadian band and a Canadian Editor, I also have a few clips from PGL Montreal xD
