just have this to post comments on tourney i thought it was good not as good as regina tourney but lots of fun still. pretty funny how 3 teams left early whent hey were still in it. Totally sucks that The Button-Mashers lost final game 50-49:p

what team were u on reed?

start with the good:
- much more prepared and learned from the last event, by that i mean..
- everything was set up and ready to role
- registration ran smoothly.
- overall everything played out accordingly

- liked the simple ballanced guardian map.
- red bull
- tcu place worked great for it.. good seating
- lots of game time
- fun

however, i noticed a couple things that could add to the greatness:

- the Tv IsSuE.. more complex then it looks i know, but those proximas or w/e they were called that we were playing on were really good compared to the other brands there like the soyo.. if its possible maybe concider go to that brand? maybe a way to go in the future.

- as competitors know well, these turnys turn into a survival of the fitest.. not just in gaming but for the ability to play over hours on end. as much as i love gaming forever and surviving on beer in the evenings, it may be difficult for the average gamer to play with these conditions............ so what my point is is maybe next time we could have a bit more of a planned schedual of atleast events, and maybe have some planned downtime / get out at like 7 or something, A LUNCH BREAK :P. stuff like this.

- where were the garbages?? lol not the typical issue but somehow they were hiding.

- catering: it would be great if we could buy pizza.. do what you gotta do like a dollar a slice or w/e but pizza goes great with gaming and i'd love a snack

- hard drives(?): it came to my attention that the boxes with the harddrives (the elites) ran faster, i think its fair with each team having one harddrive with the hosts and the way it was set up. what i dont want to see is people bringing their own, OR have everyone bring their own.. one of the 2 because people could have an edge with this.. im not sure this maybe complete bull, but if its not it should be even.

.. side note in doubleteam i couldn't help but notice brett/drew playing on the same screen, at first i thought w/e its a prefference.. but there has to be taken into concideration playing with your own box, hard drive may have given an edge? im not sure and it doesn't matter because obveously you want to take full control of the situation. but say this does help.. maybe there should be stricter rules in the future. (i dont mean to point fingers or anything but this is a prime example.

- that leads me to bringing your own boxes.. i doubt this is ok for this reason but ya its part of the other issue^

- wireless controllers: DONT BRING THEM, we had people playing on other peoples boxes in events, THIS IS NOT OK.

- WEAPONS: somethings fishy here.. first turny you could tell when the weapons were going to spon, they were exact and on the clock, since the recent update i noticed that theres something different, some setting that makes them spon later if you're holding them or something. i think w/e this is should be removed and fixed.

- host should be pre determined and not a sprint to the station.


its got to be said that the negitive does not outweigh the greatness in any way, it was a blast and calgary should be huge. im just throwing out my 2 cents and ideas for improvements so this gets bigger and better~ T1M3

I'm going to shed some light on the issues u had T1M#

- the Tv IsSuE.. : They are actually made by the same company they just changed there name, if it was free we would have sick Samsungs but the current cost aren't really allowing us to have AWESOME tv's we did switch to all HDMI to try and fix this issue we are also talking about another few ideas

- A LUNCH BREAK: Yeah we kind of had one and if a team asked we would make sure they could run out and get food between games.

- where were the garbages?? There were 2 huges ones but i only seem to see one being used.

- catering: I'll talk to some people in calgary for the next one.

- hard drives(?): The plan is to have 1 for each team with all the maps and everything but once again it cost $$$$ and our deal on 20 elites became 1 in 24 hours.

Haha yeah if your talking about the game verse LxG that was a tight game. Almost couldnt believe we came back for the victory. It was a good game though for sure.

if you guys still can, getting monitors with built in speakers instead of TV's with 7-15ms response times is a better decision... it eliminates all the bitching and all the bs from everything

hey guys this is SimonBirchDied of S'toons Finest. just wanted to say to i think yur names Kyle and all the rest of the PGL guys you guys did a great job n thanks for coming ive been waitin forever for somethin like this to come to saskatoon.
Only suggestion I could give would be maybe a more organized match schedule and be more adamant about the game times. Not a big deal just might be helpful once the tourney grows and more people come out. Great tourney tho awesome set up no real glitches , good luck in Calgary and hope you guys get some sponsors soon, and hopefully you guys come back to sask in the next year maybe ?!?
ps. Fuk the guys who beat us in 3rd game 50-49 .. nah just kiding they were sum good games !

Haha we didnt mind the smack talk that much. Made the victory that much more bitter sweet lol. Yeah I will add you probably sometime tommorow but if you see this before that time feel free to add me. My tag is of course MrDudlax just like the tourny.

Oh and yesterday in forge I figured out why weapon times were weird, the max was set to one on the map. (Rockets on The Pit were at least.)

that would make total sence because when we did that test with drew frenzy on the pit they more or less spawned imediately, shit.. if we would have known this we could have used this to our advantange. i think it was like this for all the snipers too.. maybe not on guardian that one was pretty reliable but the rest ya.. that must have been the case.

Alright guys I wanna send out a big thank you to the people that came out to the Stoon tournament..... it was a blast and once again met some new friends....... i havent even fired up my box i've been wayyyy to busy...... but calgary should be crazy so hope to see you guys there as well
