Where o where has PGL gone. The continually growing crowd continues to demand another event which will not happen this year, it is safe to say. No matter how badly the community of PGL wants an event, PGL is going no where fast at this point. A company is generally started to make income, not to go 20 000 in the hole imediately within 3 or 4 tourneys. If PGL ever wants to get back on the right track, a lot of changes have to be made. The growing community has showed support, many players have offered web services, and hell one guy even did up a posters for PGL Regina and showed you how to fix the webpage and gave you script, but where is the staff (s) end of the bargain? But for now PGL is no more. Amen

How about you ****ing read threads kid? They just announced an event for April, stop ****ing posting if you're going to rip on them. This isn't even my community or gaming company and I want to beat the shit out of you. Booking venues around Christmas is incredibly hard and expensive. How do you expect people who live out of province to travel during the winter months? You can't, why make a thread about this you attention crying whore.

Kape have fun waiting till April thats a long 4 months away. PGL Regina had no teams anyway lol, there was like 8 and once again RISE ABOVE cleaned house. So thats great :) I'm happy PGL is hosting another tournament, but when the time comes let's see how organized it is, or which game they will take prize money from to make up for HALO 3 prize money, or what they will promise that wont happen. Let's just wait and see

Also if the PGL staff's university is suffering , then why had you not have thought of this in the beginning? You sold your own truck, and maxed out two credit cards, and you were already in the hole that much. It is still only worse and your still trying to host tourneys. First off, Nick, you are a cool guy, but man, you gotta relax. Everyone has to relax. Too much hate on these forums. PGL is doing it's best to give us the kind of LAN events that Canada deserves, but it will all come in time.

These guys don't have to be doing this for us, they could be at school, building themselves up for successful futures, but instead, they are trying to piece together a league for gamers. A league for us.

From my viewpoint (without sounding like a total kiss ass), people need to lighten up a little bit towards the league. For instance, PGL Regina:

9 teams showed up... Not many right? Did my team do good? No. But I had more fun there than I had ever had playing a video game, and I met a lot of really cool people. In reality, I don't plan on becoming an MLG pro or whatever. Alot of people are forgetting that this is only a game after all.

It's dissapointing how bad Canadian gamers are making themselves look right now. I know that in real life, all of these people are probably really cool guys, but the attitude that we display towards other Canadian gamers (i am not referring to trash talk) makes both PGL, and the rest of the Canadian gaming population look bad. We can't just sit back picking fights and arguing with eachother, expecting other people to do all of the work for us. Contribution is necessary from everyone in order to make this thing successful for us, and all of Canada.

PGL has a TON of really cool people, from different places all around Canada. Personally, if American/Canada could see half of these people the way the way I see them when they aren't arguing with one another, Canada's gaming population would be respected alot more. But, when we keep playing the blame game on one another, and when we only think about everything negative, we are pretty much setting ourselves, along with others up for failure.

theres alot of business in video games,
and no one realizes canadas totally different then the states,
think of how many people there are per state in the U.S,
now think of how many people per province,
slight difference? i think not.
you could get 20 teams easily PER CITY in the states,
we're lucky to get 5 per smaller city ( saskatoon, regina, etc )


now add up all the other teams in the states who might want to come out from close suburbs and other city that are about a couple hours away,
add that up.
thats probably another 10 teams?

people dont realize that in industrys whether it be movies, music, video games, sports,
that canada is outnumbered in population,
which makes it harder for business.

kyle dont forget the other video games coming out soon that could be used for competitive use

like halo reach.

watch how many kids will get into that game when it comes out,
i can guarantee 2x - 3x the turnouts then they are now when that comes out.

I have to agree with your point about new games however im sure many people can say all the hype for ODST was over rated. Everyone got it, played it for the week they got it, threw it in the corner and only used the multiplayer maps unless certain maps were already purchased.

As for selling the league, sorry kyle but you have dug yourself into a hole which you have admitted, and it's starting to look like your so deep its over. No one will buy a league that's in debt
