If you know where your going to do it then post it and start working on getting people there. If this event is going to be any better than the last ones you need MORE people than post on these forums. The 5-10 posts your going to get about Calgary/Winnipeg shouldn't matter. Are you going to make the choice because 7 people want Winnipeg but 9 people want Calgary?

Really if you think i'm being harsh you haven't been here long enough to see the same thing happening over and over again...it isn't working, it's time for a change. I mean it's been the same thing around here since it started. They need to hear it. And I know my post won't change anything and will probably get passed over (or deleted because they can't handle hearing it) but it needs to be said.

I don't really expect them to take advice from me..I know they won't and that it's really unlikely but that doesn't change the fact that that many people would share my opinions..most of them aren't even here anymore because they got fed up long before me and I'm sure a lot of them have enough experience to know what has worked. If enough people can get them the same message then possibly they might listen. I'm sure most of the people here have more patience than me right now but stick around for a couple of years..if nothing changes, see if you aren't annoyed..
2 years and no improvement..Not even the slightest.. I didn't say they failed because they are clearly still here but it surely hasn't got any better. You don't have to have a gaming company to see this.
I agree with Method 100%. There are alot of us who think the same, we just don't post it.

Halophax is doing pretty well are they not? So no one would be talking about them like this unless they are misinformed...
And just for the record...I don't think anyone is going to be jumping anyone for talking down a gaming league, no matter what they say..
Here is the thing.... Canada isnt ready for gaming yet... we merely are keeping our foot in the door..... till the country is ready to game and sponsors are ready to see the potential..... we have a shitload of equipment and invested a ton of $$$ into new online stuff....... the thing about PGL is that its not controlled by the company but the gamers..... people dont play competitive and there is no demand, well why would we supply...... Sask and Manitoba seem to be the only hotspots that keep up to date on everythign but people arent searching for gaming tournaments....... we are trying hard to change this but believe me every gaming company in canada takes a loss on live events..... we by far take the biggest lost because we give out the biggest pots........
So maybe if there was some kind of demand besides 13 people per city we could make this gaming leage huge and sponsored but the gamers are the ones that actually do the work not the League......

You guys can only see things on a surface level..... each event takes a loss of 5k+ easy, there are hidden costs..... people do not do this league as a career, everyone either goes to school or has a full time job..... it is tough to run both easily......... also a case of bud light lime would be like $20 so that is irrelevant considering none of us drink much...... also its big bux to get a good gamebattles going, believe me it has been worked on non-stop, we have went through 4 different source codes none of which were good enough to work!!...... so although you guys say we sit around and do nothing we arent going to run a big event while everyone saves up for mlg.....
I appreciate cheeky and reid and the hardcore guys from the start still being here and believe me they will get whats coming to them...... you think Importedd was magically picked for the AMP team....... no one even saw him play till a PGL event!!! So while we work on stuff behind the scenes and work full time to pump money into this league you will just have to be patient

ok lol you guys not drinking much is a load of BS lol no offense and Cheeky can back that up lol. Yeah he has seen things. and ok ill be patient, but PGL's crowd has been patient for soon to be two years now! Nothing new has happened, it's the same old thing, a tournament with decent prize money and in some cases money is taken from other events to build a better halo 3 pot so people dont hate you for giving them less money then you guaranteed you would lol.
OH yeah like we said from the beginning maybe host small lans, with small prizes that people will be happy with ( a shirt, free zone gaming house, gift certificates, beer lol etc...) build up your name a nd profit first instead of going into debt like you guys did and selling your truck and start small.

well dialup ninja we have been letting them run the company and nothing new has happened except tournaments in two years. No one even does the blog anymore lol. No one takes pictures of events so that tab on the homepags is useless and just like all you need is small little lans to start up. its what i have said from the beginning. start small where there is interest and move your way up. Even if you guys are in university is does not take much to organize a small event.

In the end, Kyle is a 5 year veteran of running a gaming company and controls the PGL company, and everyone else here has no experience (I'm guessing) with running a professional gaming company with almost no influence on what the league choses to do, so the least we can do is stop complaining about how there running the company right now. I don't mean to insult anyone, but considering PGL is still around these days, I'd say they've got to be doing something right.

They ask the community for our opinions they've got to expect some criticism. Also...I have repeatedly seen the low numbers at events blamed on us...So I would say it has a little to do with us.

stick to lan centers stay in the west, get more staff. give consistent ammount of money, have a prize money set out before event, that why you dont have pissed of people too deal with.
