Hey its chrome, so i was just wondering if the next event was going to be in calgary or winnipeg. im not trying to be selfish but i think it should be in calgary so it gives a better oppertunity for ppl out west to come, dont get me wrong winnipeg would be good to but i just think calgary would bring some more attention from the gamers out west, and plus its a bigger center.

I think G-train is setting up for Winnipeg; I beleive he's just booking the venue dates!

Well having the hotel setup was awesome last time, but if it's at our Spar Games lan center iunno. I personally hate that place, totally my opinion though.
Just that the hotel setup probably cost a lot so I can see why it would be out of the question.
http://spargames.com/ The setup is really bad at Spar Games, it's just tv's along side the wall and in the middle + they play on 42 inch HD tv's so that's like a halo nightmare.

Yea, I have to admit; that place looks a little sketchy for Halo. There isn't much room for a coach like myself (I need my space), there doesn't look like enough room for an event ( and by the sound of things we are trying to get at least 15+ teams), and finally the T.V.'s will be an epic fail for halo.

Im Personally think Calgary would be way better than winnipeg, plus what reckonize said, those 42's look horrid... Calgary=More people, guaranteed gamers, prolly some sweet LAN centers.. Also has anyone ever though about edmonton?? like i know so many gamers from and close to there its stupid.

Don't quote me, but I think Keith said PGL would bring their own equipment.
I'm sure I speak for the majority of the competitive community when I say I don't plan on going if it is going to be done on 42" plasmas.

Why doesnt PGL just rent like a small community center or something. We don't need that much room and it doesn't need to be all flashy or anything like that. If anyone has heard of baseLAN, that's what they do and to be honest, it was a great time.
Also, Funny sig Chelack :p

Like having it at a community center I think is a great idea. The only problem with that is there are no hotels that are in walking distance. You would have to walk probably 30 mins or more just to get to your hotel and baselan isn't in the best of location.

I would not go either. The monitors at Zone Gaming were ok they were decent enough when VGA Cables were used but playing 42" in HD is horrendous.

Combine with Baselan (www.allyourbaseonline.com) and either book it at a hotel or at a community centre close to a hotel.
Nice sig CHELACK.

If PGL has the same amount of tv's and want a live stream or something for Winnipeg they would have to get a bigger community center. Baselan is holding there tournament in November. If baselan and PGL get together they should talk about a different date or a bigger community center cause baselan doesn't have the space for 4 station setups like Saskatoon. Plus Baselan gets there tv's sponsored so they usually get 4 36" hd tv's or something which is a halo nightmare as well.

PGL should talk to baselan, use BaseLAN's sponsor money for monitors which are less expensive, and combine there cashola and advertising to pay for a community center and some decent advertising! ProGamingLeague along with BaseLAN bring you Gaming in the Prairies! Ha i don't know. Ideas. Having monitors with VGA is pretty key though, nobody wants to play on 42" plasma's. Nice sig Chelack. :p

this is true the possible demographic from a business perspective is too great to ignore; PGL's only weakness is their lack of advertising. Advertising through word of mouth by fellow nerds just isn't enough!

Well Sask was a bad event, the one Plus was that PGL made many because of the Zone Sponsor. Id go to Regina every 6 months or so, to hold a tourney if you ever need some cash. I would go to Winnipeg next theres a lot of H3 gamers there, not many good ones :D, but lots. Before Dropping Brawl, id try it out one more time in Winnipeg because last time there was a huge turnout. Im not trying to be Biest but PGL should Stick to the West untill they get a sponsor. Stick to Alberta, Sask, Manitoba. BC would be to Risky and there is pretty much no Community members on PGL from BC that could spread the word. Do Winnipeg in October, Then Try Calgary in January or Febuary.
