Winnipeg LAN - Wednesday, July 29th

Plans have changed A LOT! Everyone is invited so tell everyone in Winnipeg!
Post in here or message us on Xbox Live if you can help me and Neverminddd plan this.
This is a brand new thread and a brand new date so everyone post in this thread again!
Here are the final plans:

Information

- The LAN will be Wednesday, July 29th starting at noon. Everyone will have the option of staying overnight or coming back to LAN Thursday.
- Location will be 2071 Sinclair Street (North Winnipeg, Garden City) Which is Neverminddd/Highlights house.
- Post in here or message "Neverminddd" or "ULanTRA" on Xbox Live if you can, might or can't attend. I will be keeping a list in this thread of "Attending", "Maybe Attending" and "Not Attending" so please post or message us no matter what!
- Everyone should bring the following: Xbox 360, Copy of Halo 3, Xbox 360 Controller, TV or Monitor(if you can), Ethernet Cord, Money (for food), Sleeping stuff (if your staying over night).
- An accurate equipment list for individuals will be up in this thread by Tuesday!
- Anybody who needs rides ask Nevermindd and he might be able to come pick you up!
- Teams will be kept as fair as possible most likely through picking teams with captains, this means that you will not play on your tv/monitor the whole time and you will not get to play with who you want the whole time. If you have a problem with that, still come just don't complain.
- Stats will not be kept at this LAN because it makes everyone stat whore and complain more about their tv/teamates. Plus hopefully everyone will put their ego's aside for the LAN and just have fun playing and not worrying about doing better then the person next to you. You can trash talk but it should be in good fun, a lot of people somewhat don't like each other but lets save the proving who's better for tournaments not local LAN's! Neverminddd doesnt want any fights in his house!
- If this LAN is actually good, we will post gameplays pictures or something neat so the PGL Community can see some media coverage.
- If 16 people sign up we are going to try and get TWO 4v4 set-ups going! So bring all your equipment!
- If there are not 8 people signed up by the DAY (Tuesday) before the LAN then the LAN will be CANCELED so check this thread or your Xbox Live inbox to see if the LAN will be on still, because Neverminddd will be messaging everyone who signed up if it is not happening.

- If me or Neverminddd sends you a message on Xbox Live send me us a message back right away even if its just to tell us you can't come or something that you think is not important! Also try to respond to this thread as soon as possible!

Anyone from Winnipeg (even if you can't attend), this is how you can help:
- Message all Winnipeg locals make sure all our locals are aware of this thread and this LAN.
- Try to find more locals if possible.
- Don't complain about the dates. Because Wednesday July 29th and Thursday July 30th are the final dates!
- Ideas and suggestions are welcome!

I talked to ShotRange and he said he can't come. As for all those other people that you mentioned two days ago I sent Gungsta and Golden Gun a message asking if they would want to come to a lan and I didn't get a message back. Panda said he wanted to come to the last one so I'll message him again. I didn't accept Harvs invite like 2 weeks ago so he hates me now and has ignored all my lan messages, Iam almost certain he blocked me to. I'll send him a message but I think you should send him one to. As for the rest I don't know their gamertags. Also I talked to xFirzen and he can't come.

Ryan if you have Kyle's number you should call him, I talked to him like a day after he quit and he said he would still come to lans so you should give him a call and somebody who has Silvershot on their list should tell him to come.

Last time we did stats everyone just cared about going positive and nobody cared about winning, not to mention it slows everything down. We will make sure to post stuff like good gameplay, montage clips, and pics of the lan. The best thing would be a live stream which I was told wasn't that hard to put together if you have a capture card and Damoda does so hopefully I can convince him to bring it.

Ok so the lan is pretty much a day away and thanks to everyone who helped and everyone who decided to attend we have enough to run 4v4's so the lan will happen. Their is just a few more things to discuss the most important one being the equipment list. Now if we get 12 or more people I would like to have a another small set-up so that the people not playing fours don't have to wait around and instead can play 3v3's, 2v2's or FFA's. That is why we will be trying to get more than 8 t.v's and xbox's. Iam going to assume everyone can bring an xbox and ethernet cord message me if you can't.

Ok this is a rough outline of what I expect people to bring, It might seem like we have two many things but with people leaving at different times and me not being certain if everything on this list will be brought be some people it really can't hurt to have extra. If your not listed as bringing a t.v but want to please do I don't want to have to carry a heavy t.v from upstairs plus my extra t.vs aren't the greatest, you might want to play on your own. The thing that we will probaly really need is power bars/extension cords (extra outlets) so please bring some.

Well we had 11 people show up so the lan was a success and a lot of fun, as well as some good halo. Thanks to everyone that showed up and hopefully you can be at future lans. Speaking of future lans I am ready to have another one sometime soon, so because Jay is really good friends and lives right next to 5 people who regularly attend he will make the next lan date so we can pretty much guarentee having enough people.

Also anybody who has some suggestions of what we can do to make the lan better just let me know.

Also I will be putting a couple games in my fileshare tommorrow if anybody wants to check them out. Others might do the same I am not sure.

Also you know something is wrong when somebody who has almost all of Final Boss on his list has to team with somebody who after almost 1500 games has only gotten to a 47 global rank and another who is a 46 lol, they are probaly better then him on lan though :)

I wish I charged for my lans I would be rich by now :). Also last lan was the get Nevermind to Anaheim lan so everyone owes me $20.

In all seriousness, it's a nice idea but I doubt people will pay you to lan. I would pay if you can get a really good lan together like 8-12 good players, nice set-up, food etc. But I don't think you realize how hard it is to run one of these espcially if your charging money. Also if people are paying then forget about people bringing money for food, so the cost of food would probaly ruin most of your profit. Also I think you and Ryan are the only ones from Winnipeg even considering attending PGL Regina.

Are you teaming with him or is he coaching again? Also Jay try to get that date figured out soon and then I can pretty much do everything else. Next Winnipeg lan will be a couple days prior to PGL Regina (around Aug.17-20) we don't know an exact date yet but if anyone wants to post the days they can and can't make it around those dates then that would be helpful and somewhat influence the date.

P.S. the reason Gungsta and golden gun didnt message you back is because they have new accounts but i am pretty good friends with them and harvs goes to my school as well so i cann somehow get a hold of them for your next lan if it happens.
