Well, its over. And I really look back on this weekend as a great learning experience for me. Lets start with wednesday, the beginning of my PGL saskatoon practice.

Wednesday
I found myself at my coaches house playing some XBL while waiting for my teammates who I had never met in real life to show up. I was pretty nervous about this because they seemed like really cool guys, but im kinda shy when I first meet people, then I tend to loosen up. They showed up at about 8 and we all talked for a bit, got introduced, and got set up. We played XBL for about 4 hours and were wrecking faces, I was pretty confident in our team.

Thursday
Well, thursday was the day that we had our "Prelan", and well, thank god that we did, because without it, our team seriously would have been in a huge shock for saskatoon. We scrimmed against Listeds team, "Every shot counts" all night until the sun rose. We were getting wrecked pretty hard by them on LAN and we were starting to get frustrated as a team because they were shutting us down pretty badly. We were getting pooped on.

Friday
On friday was the FFA. I was so nervous for this, just because of the fact that I had a few people coming to watch me play from school, and because i wasnt too sure on how welcoming everyone may be. But this also was very fun and was a huge success. I ended up making it past the first round and into the second round against mazement, mars, royal 1, and listed. I didnt do too bad in it, but as you may know, when two very "determined" teammates get into the same game that may decide their teams seeding, then some teamwork may happen. But whatever, im not too dissapointed, I didnt play amazingly, but i didnt get raped. After mine/Listeds day of FFA was over, we went back to CHELACKS and lanned again until about 3. Our team was finally clicking and we were all working quite well. Id just like to thank Sins/Listeds team right now because without them and their help, we wouldnt have done as well as we did in sask. We decided to call it a night and we all slept anzxiously for the next day, because we knew that saturday was the starting of the 4v4.

Saturday
On saturday, we woke up at around 12. And if anyone on this forum knows me in RL, then you know that I need at least 10-11 hours of sleep to be fully energized and ready to go. So waking up at 12 kinda worked against me a little bit. But besides that, we went back to LANning a little bit with sins team and we got warmed up for 4v4.
We registered our team as taken by force while wearing our cheesy but still cool team shirts :D . We all warmed up a bit in FFA and got ready as Keith announced who we'd be playing to start with. It turns our that we had to play Auditorys team to start with. And i wasnt really scared or intimadated by this, but I just didnt know if these guys were good or not? That question kept on going through my mind while we were all getting set up.
While it turns out that our first game was Pit Slayer, I started to get nervous minutes before this game started. So while this game was going, i was getting into my own head, i was kinda scared to make a mistake, and the mistake i made was being afraid to make a mistake. I went really negative that first game and i was choking on everything. I wasnt doing anything right. They ended up winning roughly 50-39.
The second game was guardian ball. This isnt our best gametype but we had some set strats ready for it. So still mad about how i played, the game started. This game was back and forth the entire time. It came down to about 20 seconds left in the game, and they were up by about 10 seconds. We all rushed ball in green, and someone managed to touch it for about 2 seconds, but we all ended up getting naded out because we had no time to execute a setup. They won that game by about 8 seconds. We were pretty dissapointed in our team at that point.
After that series was over,
we went to play another team, excuse my memory but i dont remember who they are/team name.
But we ended up winning 2-1 against them.
After that we had to play Mae's team. We were all pretty excited for this because mae came to LAN at chelacks on friday night and he is a really cool guy, and hes good, so we were excited to see how we'd do against his team. We ended up doing extremely well as a team, and we ended up winning 2-0 against them.

After this we were all waiting for around an hour and half while we waited to see who we'd play next. It was murphy cardboard on main stage. We werent too fond of this because the bracket we were in/ position we were in didnt allow us to play them, and we werent supposed to play them, but keith said that he wanted to finish, so we just said whatever, lets do this.
The first game was construst TS,
this was live stream and this was partially why I did so bad on that game. During this, you guys listening on the stream may have heard some nasty chirps thrown out by me,mazement, and mars, but i was doing it only to help out our team, and apparently they took it the wrong way, so thats their choice. Some people dont have sportsmanship, and I understand that.
But they ended up winning about 50-35ish. Not too sure.
But that kinda rattled my cage because i knew i was better then that. But I put that game behind me, turned around, and saw my little nephew being carried behind me in my brother/mentors arms, that kinda gave me motavation to try my hardest, and play the best i possibly could. Sounds cheesy, but oh well
So the game started as Pit CTF, and this is our worst gametype. We were thinking that we needed to pull something deep out here, and that we did. The game started and we all did our starting pushes. We managed to sucessfully get custom, rockets, and eventually, our snipe. Lub3 went to work with the custom killing mars and hurting beastly causing him to back off to their flag cut. I came through green with rocks and killed creatur3 and made beastly 1 shot once again with my rocks. Mean while Omega Beast was working with lub3 to fend mazement off his position. While all of this was happening, boorazzle grabbed their flag, and exacuted a perfect run through darkhall. We got our cap within 45 seconds of the starting. Murphy cardboard shortly capped again after we did making it a tie game. The game was about 13 minutes in, and the clock was going to run into overtime soon, so mazement decided to attempt a green flag pull. They managed to pull the flag all the way to their plat and into their flag. We all teamshotted mars who was running to flag and we stopped it about 5 inches away from their objective. We quickly returned our flag, and ran theirs through their long hall. We got it to our plat, and we fought them all off and we kept on getting touches before we died. We managed to pull that counter cap in, and with about 2 minutes left, we decided to get on defense mode. I rememer at this point when we pulled that flag in that everyone started clapping and cheering for us... That was amazing, I cant even begin to explain how weird I felt when that happened. It was one of my best feeelings ive ever had. I also recall their being about 5 seconds left, and we were 2 alive, creatur3 flanked our cut and he tried to pull our flag to put it in O.T. But too bad for him that he pulled it at 14:59,
sorry man ;)
Our last game was narrows slayer, our best gametype. But we were all not working together at all this game, and giving them stupid kills. Not to mention that mazement was always behind us, putting shots in and killing us. They won that game about 50-40 something. I was dissapointed at the time, but I still couldnt stop smiling because I was proud of our team. We did surprisingly well for not being together too long and not practicing online ever. We did ALL of our practicing at the prelan. And thats pretty impressive id say. What made me most angry was the fact that mazement was trying to be a dick about it after, like, yeah their was trash talk going on, but it happens. I was being the nicest to him the entire weekend, and during the prelan also. Hes lucky im a nice person,
ill just say that much.
But that was the end of TbF at PGL saskatoon. We lost our to MC just like quite a few other people. We decided to go for supper at boston pizza to celebrate. We came back to the venue to see chain chomp down two games to one to mazements team. I was kinda worried because I like chain chomp, they're all cool guys, and they deserve a good placing. And because I obviously had somewhat of a grudge at the time for mars/mazement. But it ended up chain chomp losing to MC 3-1 if im not mistaken.
Then came the finals,
Rise above vs. Murphy cardboard. I was seriously 956789906789 % on rise aboves side for this series. I wanted them to win so badly,
and they did not dissapoint. They made easy of MC with a 3-1 win over them.
I was glad to see them finally take top in PGL,
they really do deserve it.

This is a continuation because it would have been too long for one post.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

So that was the end of the tournament. We went to chelacks,
played some XBL social slayer for some fun, and went to bed. We were all sleeping stress free and happy. We woke up to auditorys team being there. We lanned with them for a while, and it was fun. They packed up and went back home. Then Sins team showed up once again, we lanned with them for a tiny bit, then played some XBL. It finally came time for my teammates to go home back to lloydminister, and i was kinda sad that they were leaving, but at the same time, I had a really good time meeting/playing with them and I really enjoyed this entire week. I know that we will most likely team in the future and we will always be friends. They left, and it was just me and Chelack.
I finally went home after a long 5 days of gaming,
and I did it with a smile on my face. My dad asked me,
how did you guys do?
I told him that we played like champs,
and in our own books, our placing didnt matter,
we went there,
we played as team,
we won as a team,
we lost as a team,
and we walked out as a team.

So thats my PGL saskatoon blog, and I hope you enjoyed it,
theres many more details I could have went into, but this took about 30 minutes to write and its 4am. My eyes are shutting as I type, and Im gonna hit the hay.

Nice read mang.

My PGL Blog: My live stream only worked half the time so I went to Boonstock, got super saucy and wheeled many, many broads.

Thanks for your time.

Good read, it would've been sweet if our team could have made it out to Chelack's, he seems like a pretty chill guy. Hope to see TbF at more PGL's.
