View Full Version : Next PGL Event?

I'm not sure if this is the right section.. but it's all I could come up with so I'll apologize in advance.

I'm sending this out to the PGL Staff - Please make the next event in July. I know June is ending, but a late July event would be sick and I really want to attend a PGL before the summer is over. By the sounds of how Gronntrain was talking, I doubt this will happen. I honestly could care less what the prize money was (I think SReid was saying the payout is small anyways), but I just really wanna attend a PGL :)

Any others with me?

If there is another PGL between now and when we go back to school (first week of september), then i will be there. If not it is questionable.

i really doubt it will be in july if there ever is another event most likely in Aug. and Gronntrain told me there gunna be focusing on a Gamebattles like thing on PGL.

werent they trying to do taht a while back but the site kinda failed? and didnt he say something about only BIG tourneys like stuff at the saddle dome and big venues.

Though i am taking quite the break from halo if it came back to alberta i think even i'd go, why not!?

If I remember correctly there was atleast 20 teams in Calgary because for the round robin play there was 4 pools with 5 teams in each pool. I'm pretty sure the second time around there will be a better turnout. Plan something big, saddledome or whatever and actually do some decent advertising. I could make a few posts on some Calgary gaming sites too. When people have a decent amounts time notice magical things happen.

I know this isent going to happen but back out east like Ottawa or Toronto or even Montreal would be great:) but I know it's not going to happen till like November.

Lol, everyone wants PGL to come to their own city or right around their own city so that THEY can attend. I could be wrong here, but when they did all these east coast PGL events werent the turnouts ridiculously low? Like Ottawa etc. I heard the only decent turnout was Toronto. Either way like I said, do some decent advertising and get more people involved if you want the turnouts to be larger.

Montreal Didn't have ANY Advertisement from what I saw, I found out about PGL off facebook.

I'm guessing PGL's not going to Regina. According to that post from awhile ago Winnipeg is next, although I keep hearing Calggary so who knows.

If it comes to calgary, edmonton saskatchewan or BC sometime then I will go. The calgary tourney last year sounded sick!

I would like to see an event out in BC since PGL hasn't been there yet. Not sure how the numbers would be, but there is only one way to find out

There is alot of ppl out here.. 8 teams go to this local lan that barely anyone knows about..

Plus alot of ppl from washington would go. Plus other peoples from central canada.

i agree with seamonn... BC has a fairly large halo 3 lanning community as most of them go to the BCLG (B.C Lan Games) hosted by Snowpro. I am sure that there would be tuns of teams that would show up if there was an event mid BC or vancouver.

Iam just hoping that the next event is within 2 months from now instead of making us wait like 5 months. PGL needs to build momentum people forget about them when their is nothing going on for months at a time.

but like always, they didnt make any profit off of saskatoon.
