Hey Everyone,
It's that time again. Saskatoon is approaching and that means time for some VOD details.
1. If you are attending the event with a team, please follow this link and post your team info and logo. http://www.forum.progamingleague.ca/showthread.php?p=19945#post19945
2. We are going to start the live stream on Saturday June 27, 2009 at 1pm central time and cover all day Saturday and Sunday. We will be covering mostly Halo 3 2v2 and 4v4 matches. We will not be in attendance on Friday but the stream will be active as we will be testing out and implementing some new features, as well as replaying some of the best matches from PGL Toronto. We will try to get info from the event and update the live stream with details of the FFA and other games happening on Friday night. This is not a priority however as we will be testing video elements so keep an eye on the forums first for that info.
3. Crew. Again, on the video production side, the staff is 2 people. There are a bunch of cool things we would like to try with some acquired new gear... but it requires bodies. If you are going to be there in attendance on Saturday and Sunday and aren't playing and would like to help, please pm me. Camera people, graphics, announcers, stats people are all places we could use some extra help with. If you are playing but would like to help in the downtime, pm and let me know if it's something you are interested in. It would be greatly appreciated. The pay is that fuzzy feeling you get when you know you have contributed to the greater good of a final product. (and your name in a credit list if we have time)
4. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, please read this post instead. The same rules still apply. http://www.forum.progamingleague.ca/showthread.php?t=2759&page=2
We will be doing our best to provide a smooth viewing experience but internet, power and other such things are often beyond our control. We will do our best to update on details we are aware of that may cause the viewing experience to be less than desirable should that occur.
5. Chat moderators. If you jump on the chat and all of a sudden there is an @ logo next to your name, that means I like you... or I clicked the wrong button. We are using ustream again and that is the moderator logo. Please use your judgement but by all means kick first time and then ban at will for repeat offenders committing the following crimes.... racism, repeated use of foul language, sexual comments, flooding the chat with repeated multiple questions or random statements. eg. copy, paste, repeat, ban.
6. Quarter inch jack adapters are your friend. If you want to hear audio from the mixers when you are playing on the main stage or monitors, please have one for your headset if it is a mini connection. I brought 10 that people "borrowed" from me in Toronto... guess how many came back?
That's all for now. See you in Saskatoon!
