It's been a long while coming, but a new Zelda game for a home console is finally on it's way to the Wii. During an exclusive developers-only conference held after GDC, Shigeru Miyamoto took the stage and announced the next in the Zelda series titled "Ocarina Chronicles". Does the name sound maybe slightly familiar? Well it should, as it turns out this "new" Zelda game will be nothing more than a complete remake of Ocarina of Time with a Wii specific features. Here is a small fact sheet that was released.

Quote:
- Ocarina Chronicles will be a complete re-vamp for the Wii with updated graphics and WiiMotionPlus support.
- Three new temples will be added.
- While unconfirmed, it was hinted that there may be a handful of new items.
- Ocarina Chronicles will also feature some exclusive connectivity with the DSi and the upcoming Zelda: Spirit Tracks.

This sounds alright, although I was much more hopeful for a brand new Zelda game. Goes to show that Nintendo care more about money than making a new decent game nowadays, especially if you already bought the original on the Wii Shop Channel. Anyway it could be interesting, especially with WiiMotionPlus support. I will keep you posted.
