If you hate the current Classic Controller, you are not alone. Many Wii owners would rather shell out money for a classic Gamecube pad than pay for the current Wii Classic that Nintendo are currently offering. Nintendo did say that 2009 would be a year for change with the Wii, and it seems that their first act of business will be to introduce a new Classic Controller peripheral. They call it.... Classic Controller PRO, and needless to say it looks even more like a PS2 controller now.

M'kay so maybe that is a little unfair. It does look like a much improved revision of the current controller, which is very awkward to use (especially with Nintendo 64 games). The Classic Controller PRO is fatter than the original and both Z shoulder buttons (ZL and ZR) are larger. Dare I say, it's beginning to look more like a traditional game pad for the Wii. Details regarding the release and price are unknown at the moment, but we will keep you posted.
