Ok so I'm looking into buying some headphones for future events and at home for XBL. If anyone has any suggestions on what I should look into.
If you can I would appreciate links to sites with pictures and info on what I could be buying. If anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated, I wanna spend some of these nice looking 20's :)
sennheisers. i was playing with them saturday/sunday, you'll love them. light, great sound and they did a really good job with the sound throughput. you'll need the RCA to 1/4" jack adaptors, i posted linkts to them in my questions/concerns thread.
i'm pretty sure future shop has a few in stock.

Can you here your teammates good with them or would they be good just for FFA/Online??
Edit: Also, which ones' i searched and saw like 5 dif. kinds?
HD 555's or 595's... and they're good for team games, because they're open-ended headphones, they allow sound to come through without drowning out the game sounds. its perfect. for FFA i used the turtle beach headphones, but i should've used the sennheisers, they had way better sound.

those would be good for ffa, but you can't hear through them very well in team. i think the simplifi guys were using them

Who was the guy playing with the Skull Candy's? I am curious as how they were for him cause i love Skull Candy Headphones, i had a set for djing and i have some for my Ipod.
demented had some skull candy's. he said they were nice for ffa, but they're closed so they suck for team. they'd be good online.

Oh that's too bad, online i play on a 56 so i sit like 20 feet away so headphone aren't really important for that.
surround sound? headphones make a ton of difference than speakers.
Get the Astros, even though they are 250$ for everything they are worth it
especially if your whole team has them for LAN. I don't even know where to begin about how good they are, so go to the site and read up on them :). http://www.astrogaming.com Oh and Tiki, Mio and I were using the Astro A40s, Talon and Hero were using the Turtle Beach X3's or maybe X2's. Astro > All

Turtle Beaches are nice for sitting at home and gaming but unfortunately with their ir (infra Red) Sound usage it makes them near impossible to use in mass amounts you cant be next to someone when you and they have them it creates sound distortion........ I love my x3 but they also take an extra plug in which means that they cant be used at MLG and that they were hard to use at PGL Regina because of lack of outlets all and all i know im buying some astros listen to tked they are so nice for events but at home x3's all the way i have both..... and as far as skull candies for the extra money go for astros they will last so much longer plus the mix amp and all the cords allow you to hook up anywhere and you can hook up all your teams together so its like xbl talking ish.............yah thats all

Thanks for everyone's help still not sure if I should buy the MLG astro's because of price and I personally think that I wouldn't use them to their potential.
If I were to get Sennheiser's, what would people think? Would they be good for events and XBL? Feedback please.
amazing for events, not for xbl, there's no built in mic.

i have a pair of the open eared sennheisers they work awesome on live too all you have to do is put you voice on speakers only and then wear your 360 mic around your neck at the same time your wearing the sennheisers...works for me :D

OK so it looks like I'm getting Senneheiser's still stuck on which ones, 555's or 595's once again need feedback/pros&cons on both of them.
Also, should I buy from eBay because it is a lot cheaper or should I just buy it from a store like Future Shop/Best Buy?
