GOW2 Competitive Settings

Hey guys well i have been playing GOW2 since it came out and i have made a v1 Settings for PGL player to use in customs that are vary compitive and balanced. Right now it uses only Neutral Maps. The changes of weapons and settings are below

Weapon Changes(only change these weapons)

Hammer of Dawn---------Disable
Ink Grenades ------------Frag Grenades
Mortor-------------------LongShot
Mulcher------------------BoomShot
Scorcher FlameThrower---Torque Bow
BoomSheild---------------Frag Grenades

EDIT: Starting Weapon is HammerBurst.

Settings(only change these settings)

Total Rounds--------5
Round Time Limit----4
Bleed Out Time-----20
Friendly Fire--------On

Maps(use these maps for best gameplay)

Blood Drive
Jacinto
Pavilion
Stasis
Gridlock
Mansion

I did spend time on these settings so just trust me they are lots of fun and my friend that use to be pro for GOW1 also likes them. So i hope you enjoy my v1 settings for you guys to use.

good but also add only execution cuz other wise everyone hides for fear of the hammer burst. also make it 10 min rounds so the last person wont hide. and finaly no chainsaws only hamerburst to start

Sethiroth poppin out the gametypes like lightning only a few days after the game comes out, good shit, i still dont know if i should pick this up.

Its a must have this game is amazing my expectations were high for two and epic exceeded them this game blew my mind i got it friday as soon as i could and played from six that night until early the new moring just trying to beat it the campaign is by far one of they best but it ends kind of bad. The multiplayer is absolutely stunning it blew my mind, it is more like halo which makes for hours of fun yes i know i have heard it a million times and know it to be true this game is NOT comparable to halo but what else is there to compare it to. this game is amazing and personally i think that everyone should bet it,
Also if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated I'm in the Northern kentucky region of the US and am looking for some team to sign me please and thank you :D

he was semi pro you problay wouldnt now him but i will find out his teams name later. They were always scriming pro teams and destroying them i get back on that.

I think these settings could be a lot more competitive. For one, why is Stasis in, but River is out??? River is one of the best maps!
And while it would be convinient to have one set of weapon swaps, its simply not the most competitive decision, while it is more of a pain to have different swaps for different maps, it makes for much, much better gameplay. Having TWO sets of frags is going to make for some terrible camping, ONE set is bad enough with the ability to wall tag them!

So far I would say that Echelon's settings are by far the best I've played on, however even they could use a lot of tweaking, here's the link.

the reason why is i trying not to do two sets of weapon sets i love river just as much as the next person.

i also love stasis its a really good map.

What so bad about the boomsheild?

boomshield is so easy to counter with a smoke grenade and you can simply just shoot around the shield its not overpowered in anyway. maybe it just kinda sucks?

First off, no boomshield, it's that basic, end of discussion.

Second, No frags, Inks only. Team damage will be on, and for someone to clutch because they ran into some teamamtes sticky is not the prime example of competitve gaming. Inks close off walkways, pathways, streets, entrances, or balconys for a small period of time, closing off valuable excape routes or ways to push in.

Third, Weapon swaps for maps should depend on what map you are playing.

Forth, Good maps like River should be included.


I am willing to help create proper competive settings with you Seth, just hit me up on XBL anytime though the week. Gears strats and maps are my life, I love this game and I know how it should be played competively.
