The boys put on a terrific show this weekend..... there is some unreal talent and I'm sure a lot of the guys are already practicing up for the next one......... They are only going to get bigger and better from now on

We are going to work on a new form of this for the next tournament it will give spots to 1,2,3,4 and that's all that will be posted.
I'm working on the 2v2 ones right now.

those standings dont seem right how can there be so many ties how is borderline tied with gentelmans club and doesnt matter when we elminated gentelmans club before they even made play offs. and borderline did make playoffs

Yeah and we also beat Button Mashers out on the first day? I don't want to seem mad or anything because it's probably the least of your concerns and I don't want to give you any more trouble than you have right now. But shouldn't we be ahead of them or at least be tied for 4th? I don't really know how these standings work but considering we sent them to the LB on day 1 and lost to TAC in the same round they lost to WGC. I also think consolation rounds would be good for the teams that lose out to help actually place them rather than ties.

Dont worry just yet fellas...... Riders just posted them up there for reference for now...... they will be tweaked while we work out our point system

If every team ask me how they got what we will be here all day. Like i said it's easy to see who is 1,2,3 cause they played for those spots. 4th for example goes to the teams that lost to 3rd. Because BM and TAC didn't have a 4th place final you can't say who would have won so both get 4th. Then for 5th is for the people who lost out to the 4th place teams, Boarderline lost to TAC and the GC lost to BM. THis goes on for a while till we get all those spots. Also Boarderline did make it to the finals but because it's double elimination not just brackets they didn't rank higher.

This was a huge headache for me to do so i came up with a new way for the Sask that will give us exactly 1,2,3,4 and those teams will get points towards the PRO standings. It will also still give us a double elimination style so to be kicked out a team will need to loose twice.

I really hope this answers everyones questions.

It's alright but I really don't want to get screwed over in points because something happened in the brackets. Considering we did beat BM out.

Yes you did beat BM but who can say what would have happened if you got to play again. See that is the issue. This is why next time only the top 4 teams will get a placement cause unless we have playoffs for every spot you can't know how the games will turn out.

But its all good i dont wanna get screwed for s'toon.. i know its the least of ur worries haha

yea standings arent gonna matter in our point system really...... thats why its really not used in double elimination...... but a point system is worked out that we will explain to you guys which can rank you all fairly as well

You did play TAC on the Losers Bracket. And WGC played Button Mashers also for the tops of the losers side. Then since TAC and WGC both won they moved on to play for the chance to play the loser of the top 2 teams on the Winners side.

For the next one we will also post a image of the whole points and travel to the finals so everyone can see how the points and the places done. With this being the first tournament it was more important to us that every team got a fair number of games and that the best walked away with money. Now that we have a good grasp on that we can improve the other issues.

We love hearing everyones input so we can improve as we move forward. We do know that you can't keep everyone happy all the time though.

borderline you guys got elminated before us you sent us to losers bracket but we made it farther. you were 5th :p

Epikon go through the entire bracket and you will find out how the placing work in a double elimination........ no one can be determined in a certain place except for top 4..... check how MLG does it too.... thats why a point system has to be made..... its where there is a bracket elimination...... I can go step by step if you want for me to explain it...... Riders went over it six times and due to double elimination you cant place everyone perfectly.... anyone that has that kind of experience will tell you the same thing

Do you have any idea how many games there would be? It would take up way to much time and since only top 3 get pay outs do we really need to know who was 15th and 16th?

I don't know how many times i have to explain it but because it's double elimination it's not what round you went out in but WHO ELIMINATED YOU

In the losers bracket there are more rounds because more people loose and show up there. Simplifi only had to play 5 games to win it all. While Bonifide had played 7 games because they lost first to Simplifi and had to play a game in the losers bracket in which they played WGC then one more time against Simplifi

So in your theory of rounds then Bonifide did more rounds so they should be ranked higher than the team to win it all. And then WGC who played EVEN MORE rounds should be ranked higher.

I'm trying to get the Top 16 thing changed, It should be the Top 25% is Pro and Top 50% is Semi. Because we only had 16 teams out for this tourny so i don't think it's a good idea to say they all should be considered Semi-Pro

Also with the more tournaments the Pro's and Semi's go to it will separate them from the other teams cause there will be points given for just showing up.

We have a better idea of what to do to get more accurate ranks for next time but this was the BETA tounry.

Well we look at it as each game takes 15 min in the worst case so we bugget time based on the worst case. Also with 24 tv's we can only have 3 games going at once for 4v4. So basely to answer you question we could probably squeeze 4v4 into one day but as more teams want to play we will need the full 2 days. We felt that time wise the regina tournament worked out great with the exception of FFA which took a little long than we had hoped.

The FFA was ffrom 7 to 11:15ish

2v2 and 4v4 round robins took place from 9am to about 5-6ish

4v4 and 2v2 playoffs were from noon 'till 6-7ish

FFA went for 3 hours so we will most likely start at 6pm in stoon
2v2 went Sat morning at 9 till about 1
4v4 went from 1 until about 7

Sunday playoffs started at 12 and went till about 7
