Listen if any of you had any site making experience, these bots can be stopped very easily, there is no special code required or any of that non sense. it is simply just an update to a better version, If PGL wishes to fix this they can contact myself or Scanlan we both have our own webs and its very very simple to configure, and aas far as all this mumbo jumbo about the profanity used in the forums i say who cares, i mean obviusly keep it down a bit , dont let every word be a bad one. but sumply design a system were if a member uses too much trash talk in one message they are warned and possibly IP banned from the forums for a perticular amount of time., you should still be able to use some profanity, i mean after all they are just words that society has just put a lable on as "Bad" , do they really bother us tho?..

I dont much about IP's and all, but I just heard those two options before, and they sound doable for spammers and bots, is it true? Cause like Reid said, a captcha would be the best option in my opinion.

IPuppy, bots are not sentient beings capable of destroying human life. They're just basic scripts people launch at thousands of forums, where they may or may not be denied posting. It's really simple code.

Banning the bots won't do anything, because it's a crapload of people with a crapload of computers available sending these messages, therefore IPs aren't really an issue nor a solution here. All the place needs is some basic security implementation.
