I know the amp team is sponsered but i never knew they were pro's
When did this happen?
Is there a website were u can go to and sign up and be a Pro?

your horrible at halo, you can't buy a good team...anyone who gets paid to do something, whether it be hockey, lacrosse, or xbox...is considered a professional, they never said they were MLG Pro's...you're real funny though...keep trying to impress people...

At the risk of sounding like a smart ass I am going to say that you are almost 100% right Furien ... a semi-professional is someone who is paid to play video games and thus is not an amateur, but for whom video gaming is not a full-time occupation, generally because the level of pay is too low to make a reasonable living based solely upon that source, thus making the gamer not a full professional gamer. So not everyone who is paid is automatically PRO. But because the AMP guys don't have other jobs they are considered PRO :)

I think lots of kids who play games could be pro's they just don't have the sponsor backing. At PGL we hope to bring more money and sponsors to our teams cause the dream is to make money while gaming.

omg i went to amped and omg.. i wish i could compete in the FFA thingy.. wow.. i played a couple FFA's with the "Pros" and wow.. the bo is terrible g-spot is like decent.. but not rlly.. and that other dude is kinda good.. i still won both ffas.. i thought they were pro becuz they were like a pro team for mlg toronto in halo 2?

Most of you guy's need to shut up. I can guarantee the AMP pro team is a lot better then most of the people that post here (no offence) and I can guarantee that they have accomplished more things individually then anyone that hates on them has. It's starting to get annoying now and everyone is jumping on the, "I'm better then the AMP pro team," wagon which is just fkn stupid.

Your right but not in a way. Your right on the statement that the Amp team is better then most likely 90% of the people on here, but, there are a few individuals on this forum that do have the skill to beat them/or are better then them. Lets just say that the AMP team isnt as good at halo 3 then they were at halo 2. They definetaly arent as good as anyone in the top 24 seeded teams in the MLG, but I think they could do decent in PGL. They are not anything amazing, they will most likely not dominate the PGL. AMP and the other top teams from 07 will have some good games, but we wont see any shutouts in the later rounds of PGL or anything.:cool:

And Furien, I think that was kinda a bit harsh of a post, he was simply just asking a question with a bit of sarcasm involved.:confused:

No I havent, but I've seen gameplay and its pretty good, but like, its not anything extraordinary. Yes Ironmind, they are better then me and I know where your going with this. My original post wasnt meant to upset anyone, its just my opinion. Im not trying to bash AMP team, they are pretty good, all Im saying is that they MOST LIKELY wont friggen shut out and dominate every team in PGL. When you make money to play you can be considered a pro(not local tourney money dummies), and like FURIEN said, nobody is calling the AMP team MLG pros. You guys seem to have some fixation that MLG is the only organization that has professionals. Sure it is the most successful and well known organization, but it's not the only one. And if we want other groups, like PGL to become the Canadian MLG, then you will have to understand that we will have our own pros. Stop the bashing. You guys should be getting excited about this, now Canadians have a shot at going pro without having to travel to the states.

The amp team is basically a brand new team that just needs some time to mesh. I know from lanning with g-spot and alpha at the amp gaming tour that they have some of the best teamwork i have ever scene first hand. I look forward to seeing how they will play with all four members contributing in the same manner. They still do have a shot at mlg events for those doubters. Importedd placed 15th in San Diego and from playing against him in the PGL Winnipeg I know he has tons of skill and great communication. I can't say much about Furien due to the fact that i have never scene or played against him. Hopefully that'll change this season, but until then i wish them the best

Good call. They did try to with the whole AMP tour, but apparently the team isnt working out for them all that well. Im not gonna lie, the two new teammates are good, I know Importedd is at least, I dont know about the other guy, but it just seems their team chemistry isnt working out all that well for them right now.

Well I will say this, the new AMP has been playing together for only 4 days now, (This is day 4). They LAN'd for two days against some very very heavyhitters. Day 1 did not go so well for AMP, Day 2 was a different story. Apparently by the end of the second day, both teams were even in games.

Day 3, a whole new team went to LAN with AMP, I'll say AMP pooped of these guys for the first part of the day, until I fixed an Xbox that was still broadcasting in Standard, then the games went about even for thew day

Day 4 - Today. I'm about to go make it down to the LAN right now. AMP team has their chemestry together, their communication was working very well last night, and they definatly won more games then they lost overall yesterday.

AMP is practing right now on LAN, while you kids sit on your PC talking shit... I hope the shit talk pays off for you guys.

G-Spot and Alpha might not be that great at FFA, (I did beat them at a LAN) but they f***ing rape as a team. I didn't stand much of a chance haha. I'm pretty sure after some practice they will dominate PGL. Look how easy importedd's old make-shift teams won events...

true but im confident that the 09 season will bring ALOT more competition than last year, and now with decent prize money people will actually come out to events across canada cuz they can win back the money for the trip and then some...

I'm a Gears player myself, so Helen Kellar could take me on Halo, but I am a gamer so I do reconize the skills on each game.

1v1's do not prove anything since Halo is a team based game, even in FFA you rely on people to weaken other people, so tactics that have being said shut your mouth, Scanlan is everybodys friend, when you diss him you diss yourself, i know the team that went to the LAN and they were very good , some of Canada's finest.
