Alright so pretty much there is a HUGE Computer LAN that comes to Regina once a year. It is called R.Dot. They are mainly focused on computer gaming but something came up today that I thought that I'd share. (BTW R.Dot is sponsored by AlienWare and Bawls Energy drinks and the such).

A teacher at my schools, well, her 2 sons are helping out with the event (One is in University and the other in grade 12), so sadly I wasnt able to talk to them directly, but I asked whether Halo 3 was going to be part of the event or not. She told me at the moment no, but that if I could get 30 People together, they would put it in the tournament for us.

Now, I realize that PGL is trying to hype up the Montreal event, but I thought that many of us from the prairies would love a LAN event (considering the one that we planned before school started never happened)... at least to keep us happy until PGL Regina is here. So, 30 people from Saskatchewan (Or anywhere else) shouldn't be that hard of a number to hit. And these 30 people could be anyone too. So lets try to get 30 people or more so we can FINALLY have a LAN.

Once again, I'm not pimping R.Dot, just want to get a LAN together. I still love ya PGL.

Yes we must bring our own Xboxes but WE ARE THE ONLY ONES USING THEM.

So pretty much this is how it works. We get 30 people, we get to use our own xboxes on LAN for a full 24 hours.

I know you wanted to come in here and sound cool by showing us all up, but not only does it say on the site "Bring it and we'll play it" Iron and Demented have both got confirmation from the organizers saying that they'll let us play Halo 3.

I wouldnt so much call it switch, considering most of us started PC Gaming before consoles, and besides, PC Gaming has always had the upper-hand in online gaming.

Yes people are still allowed to come and 360's are also welcome. I spoke to my friend josh today who is on staff at r-dot. he will be running the halo 3 tourney. Everybody who signed up has a for sure spot, EVERYONE else PC or not will be allowed a spot on a first come first serve basis (Including those from yorkton that are bad.) :)

From what I see he's doing you guys a favor by not having to be turned away when you do show up. My suggestion is to contact the staff yourselves and get the direct answer rather than Versa having to relay it for you.

That should solve everyone's problems.

I'm trying to save you guys some time. It's always good to go straight to the organizer instead of the.. "Oh I heard from this guy, and another guy"..bullshit. Say R-Dot was an Xbox LAN instead of the PC LAN it is, and I was going to drive to Regina for it..I'd rather hear straight from the ogranizer than some other person who claims something..ya know what I'm sayin'?

Well, consoles at are R.Dot will kind of be there. There will be a console station setup, but nobody is allowed to bring their own consoles to the event.
